The brief:

Open for Business helps businesses, policymakers, and civil society organisations advocate for LGBTQ+ rights around the world. But their wide range of projects and audiences meant their message was getting watered down and miscommunicated. They came to me needing help to figure out their true purpose and simplify what they say.

The approach: We kicked things off with a workshop. We gathered the senior leaders to really dig into why Open for Business is here, what they stand for, what they’re not and the biggest hurdles they’re facing right now.

Based on that, I pinned down their purpose and built a messaging guide. This guide shows them exactly how to talk to each of their three main audiences, and what lends them credibility in their space.

The results:

The organisation now has a clearer, aligned way of speaking, ready for their new brand launch.
